After five weeks of travelling the 400 miles to be with my dad in the hospital, I am finally back home. I spent 4 of the past 5 weeks in Arkansas with my 89 year old dad in the hospital. I suffered a near stroke & spent 10 hours in the ER to get my BP down. But, in the end, my dad passed away in his sleep last Sunday. And – after catching up on the lawn & other chores – I will be posting again. Thanks for your prayers and support during this time. Albert Waldo 1923-2012. Ride on Cowboy!

The ANDROID Series of posts are significant but I have a separate series for the ViewSonic G-Tablet here:
What is the funny looking “G” thing by my comments?
You may see this image on sites all over the web – well, any site that allows comments could have it. It is actually called a “Gravatar.”
Your Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums.
To get one (FREE), you can just click on the image on the right. Or, go directly to http://en.gravatar.com/ then click on the button “Get your Gravatar Today” and you will be in business. Be sure an include all of the email addresses that you post under. (BTW, you can have a different Gravatar for each email address.) On all of my websites (and most others), when you post a comment, it asks for you email address. That is the address that will link back to grab the Gravatar attached to that address.
When you sign up at the Gravatar site and associate an avatar (picture or image from your computer or from the web), it SHOULD (not guaranteed to work immediately) then show up on almost every site where you have posted a comment using that address. Check it out… It is pretty cool! Continue reading
