Google and Online Privacy

Yesterday, Google announced that they will start displaying SOCIAL results more prominently.

GoogleI like the idea but there are probably many who will complain about privacy issues. The actual change is (IMHO) insignificant from a privacy perspective. Google will present the same AMOUNT of social data (results from our friends’ Twitter or FaceBook postings) but change the PLACEMENT. The difference is that now, they will display that data intermingled with other results based upon relevancy. Previously, such data was at the end of the list of results.
