Install ClockWorkMod on Nook Tablet (emmc)

(This post is outdated)

NOTICE: I no longer recommend that you install CWM.

Instead, after you have rooted your Nook, visit the Play Store and download the FREE “Goo Manager (Beta)” application. Then use it to install the TWRP recovery using the guide here:

      Thanks for the comment!
Although I no longer have or use the Nook Tablet, I doubt that you need to upgrade CWM in order to flash a new CM11 ROM. Unless the ROM author/developer says otherwise, you probably only need to “reset to factory” and then flash the rom. Be sure to check the developer’s page (XDA?) to learn of any special requirements. If there are special requirements, they will have links there.

    Hi Ray,
I tried resintalling the stock recovery from an app from Indirect, and now my nook tablet won’t boot past the initial black screen with adobe stuff on the bottom.

    Any ideas?

Sorry, Daniel. I forgot that I had this post online. See the EDITED header in the post for new instructions.
BTW, for various reasons, I generally do not delete old posts. It seems best to keep them but note in the header that they are outdated.

    Good day to you sir!
I have successfully followed your videos on how to root my nook tablet 8gb with CM7 using a bootable CWM sd card.
I am now attemping to install CWM to the internal memory of my nook so that i can reboot into recovery from the main options on CM7 by holding down the power button.
However the link provided : “Download this file: – (4.08 MB) from this XDA Thread: and oopy to a MicroSD Card.”
does not take me to the I believe the XDA website you referenced may have removed the file. Do you possibly have a mirror to that file?

I have reached the final step in what needs to be done, and i appreciate all your guidance up to this point!

(on a side note, i have tried the method tethering the NT to the computer using ADB, but when i get to the part where i type “adb devices” the command prompt only flashes for a couple of seconds. The Nook Tablet is listed under unknown devices with a yellow exclamation point beside it. I right clicked on it and followed the steps to browse to the .inf file in the google usb drivers folder, but it then says that no files were found containing information pertaining to this device.)
At this point i decided to try this method here, however i can not find the files you specified and am therefor stuck again. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated sir.

    Thank you in advance!!!
